Leicester Pride is your festival and we want it to be as interactive as possible. Get involved to make sure the needs and desires of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community are met and help us showcase it all to the city.
Leicester Pride’s your chance to show lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people from all over the UK, the very best that Leicester has to offer.
Without our volunteers, The return of Leicester Pride would not be possible and we need your help, whether in the run up to the festival, or just for a few hours helping on Parade day.
The Leicester Pride team works hard to create a great festival. Leicester Pride needs you to lend us your skills to ensure that this year’s festival is the best yet. We really couldn’t make this event happen without your generous support; our volunteers have been incredible over the past year and we’re counting on your help to continue this success.
We need lots of help in lots of different areas and we’re pleased to say that we’ve already had people contacting us to get involved.

The market at Leicester Pride Festival has always been a great success with a fantastic range of gifts, clothing, art, nick-nacks and “toys” being snapped up by the thousands of visitors.

Saturday 5th September from 12pm
A carnival atmosphere will fill the streets of Leicester. As the parade takes the theme La Cage aux folles- young and old, gay and straight, friends and family – All we ask is that you have a good time!
This year the parade starts at 12.45pm on Saturday 5th september and will congregate on High street from 12pm with Street preformers to entertain you.
Please Note: This years parade is a walking parade therefore NO Vechiles are allowed within the parade, And would all orginisations and individuals please register for the parade with in plenty of time.

There’s much more to Leicester Pride than Saturday 5th september, the festival has spanned a full nine days with a series of art, culture, sport, music and film events celebrating the great diversity of the LGBT community in the run up to the festival on Saturday 5th September
For Leicester Pride 2009, we’d like to showcase more aspects of our community than ever before and so we are inviting applications from both commercial and community-based groups who will be holding events over Leicester Pride 2009.
Successful applicants will have their event incorporated into Leicester Pride’s official schedule with promotion on the festival website.
