›–» Shader Attributes

To open up the Shader Attributes section, Expand the Paint Object tool ( ) and move your mouse up to the button with a picture of a paintbrush on a orange block with a purple end ( ). When creating objects for Active Worlds it is imparitive that you set the correct shader attributes otherwise the objects will not look correct in Active Worlds.

If you right click on any of the four columns which have 3 spheres in each you wil see the following window open allowing you to set the shader attributes.

When it first opens, the values should be as they are pictured above. These are completely wrong for Active Worlds and will make your objects look much to dark. There are lots of combinations that work well in AW but the settings I use are:

Ambient: 0.6
Diffuse: 0.25
Shine: 0
Rough: 0.6

Be sure to set every single object you create to the same settings. A good tip is if you apply these attributes to the first object you create, every one after will assume the same properties.
